Philosophy
- Schickel Architecture was founded in 1992 to provide architectural
service of the highest quality to a variety of clients on commercial, institutional,
residential, industrial, and historic preservation projects.
- Schickel Architecture is dedicated to work towards the
highest standards of design in the service of its clients. To be effective,
we believe that this ideal must be firmly grounded in the following principles
for implementation.
-
- The needs and aspirations of each client must be clearly
and thoroughly understood in a timely manner that is consistent with the
progress of the project.
- The budget and schedule of each client must be respected
and carefully monitored from the inception of the project design until
the completion of construction.
- The natural and manmade attributes of each site must
be conscientiously integrated with the building design.
- Schickel Architecture is committed to the creation of
building projects of utility, economy, and beauty, in the service of each
and every client.
Experience
- Schickel Architecture projects have included the planning
and design of one new school and five major school additions with a combined
area of 600,000 square feet. Other projects include alterations to a high
school, alterations to a downtown office building, medical offices, a new
parish center, a shipping facility, and a hostel for the mentally ill.
Technology
- Schickel Architecture produces all drawings in an AutoCAD
format. Each staff member has a dedicated work station that is networked
within the office and globally connected through the Internet. The use
of E-mail permits the simultaneous review of drawings in progress with
our consultants.
Staff
- Schickel Architecture has a highly qualified staff of
four professionals, including three full time and one part-time.
